Ryan B. Greer
Eradicate Hate:
2022

Ryan B. Greer serves as National Security Director and Chief of Staff for the ADL Government Relations, Advocacy, and Community Engagement (GRACE) team, including leading policy initiatives related to ADL’s PROTECT Plan to counter domestic terrorism while preserving civil liberties.  Prior to this role, he served as Director for Program Assessment and Strategy, leading innovative counter-extremism activities, and strategic initiatives for the ADL Programs Division.  Ryan also serves as a non-resident Fellow for New America’s International Security Program and as a Security Fellow at the Truman National Security Project.

In previous roles, Ryan served as a Senior Advisor for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Office of Community Partnerships, helping launch the first terrorism prevention grant program; as the Foreign Terrorist Fighters Policy Advisor at the U.S. Department of State’s Counterterrorism Bureau, serving as lead action officer for the FTF Line of Effort; as a Program Officer and Presidential Management Fellow for the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs; as a Special Assistant for Community Partnerships at the White House National Security Council; and on staff for two Members of the House of Representatives.  He holds a Master’s in Public Policy from the McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown University and a Bachelors from Skidmore College.

The Eradicating Hate Global Summit was both eye-opening and empowering. To have so many experts in the field of countering hate, all there sharing their expertise, working towards practical and real world solutions, was incredibly unique. It is this focus on meaningful conversations, answers, and solutions that makes Eradicating Hate so incredibly important. The spread of hate is a wicked problem, and the way Eradicating Hate approaches it is how we are going to solve it.
