Eradicate Hate:
2022

The work of Tim Hindes exists at the convergence of creativity, community, and connection. He founded TrailBlaze as a company to support organizations and businesses with creative gaps. Tim serves as the company’s CEO, providing leadership to a diverse team who specialize in providing sustained creative capital and marketing solutions to mission-based organizations across North America. Tim’s most recognizable work is the Stronger Than Hate symbol that he designed in the aftermath of the tragic mass shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue in October of 2018. Moved by the event and it’s closeness to home, Tim used his talents as a way of uniting people under an image of strength and hope on an otherwise somber, devastating day. As with most things that go viral, Tim never intended for it to gain the exposure and popularity it did, but the simple message and design resonated with people internationally as a rallying point to elevate neighborly love and support over cowardice and bigotry. Tim has donated the symbol as a gift to the community and he continues to share its story through presentations and community conversations.

This cannot be thought of as a conference or a summit. The stakes are simply too high and the data/conversation and methods to drive action more valuable/motivating than any gathering I have attended. I took more than 100 pages of notes and have shared them with my CBS News leadership team, anchors, producers, and correspondents. Nothing about this gathering was easy. The agony around this topic is real. But no one curious about it could ask for a more devoted, rational, or unflinching look into this dark but decipherable world.
