Community work: Founding member – Hindu Temple, Monroeville, Pa; Chinmaya Mission Vedanta Institution, Pittsburgh; Former President, Monroeville Interfaith Ministerium; Former President, Rotary Club of Monroeville, Pa; Chair, Peace Committee – Installed a Peace pole in Monroeville Community park; Charter member, United Religions Initiative (URI International) – Signed at CMU in 2000; Interfaith Movement participation, Greater Pittsburgh area – over 25 years; Founder-President, AHINSA (Allliance for Humanitarian Initiatives, Nonviolence and Spiritual Advancement).
The Summit offers a unique opportunity to confront the corrosive influence of bigotry and hatred in our society. In order for us to address these challenges, we first must acknowledge their painful and destructive impact in our communities and in our country.
