Skip Gilmour is the Director of Technology Policy and Solutions at the Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism (GIFCT). In this role, Skip manages strategy for GIFCT’s Hash Sharing Database and Incident Response Framework to deliver value to GIFCT members.
Skip has spent his career in the intelligence community and technology sector mitigating terrorist and violent extremist (TVE) threats. He began his career at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) where he was a national-level expert covering a variety of subjects including Racially Motivated Violent Extremism (RMVE), nascent violent extremist movements, and idiosyncratic terrorism. During this time, Skip also served as the Director’s daily briefer. Skip departed from the FBI to work at Roblox where he was the Intelligence and Investigations lead for TVE. At Roblox, Skip used his subject matter expertise to collaborate with product managers and engineers to create new safety products to protect digital communities.
Skip graduated from Christopher Newport University with a bachelor’s degree in Economics and the FBI Academy’s Basic Field Training Course in Quantico, Virginia.

To me, Eradicate Hate was the most important gathering of 2021 for those of us who work on issues related to domestic extremism and organized hate. The Summit uniquely combined a variety of perspectives, including experts, civil society representatives, politicians and policymakers, and the families and loved ones of victims. Eradicate Hate has the important mission of standing against the rising tide of hate and extremism in our society, and it’s an honor to be able to support this mission.
