President, Redstone Family Foundation; Founder, Redstone Leadership Forum
2026
As President of the Redstone Family Foundation, Shari Redstone has dedicated herself to building a future free from antisemitism and racism. Her journey began as an attorney in Boston, and she went on to transform National Amusements, Showcase Cinemas, Viacom, CBS, and Paramount Global—and at each of them expanded access for audiences to stories that educate, inspire, and unite. Shari’s chairmanship at Sipur Studios, an international production company based in Israel, continues this mission, with its content that sparks dialogue and fosters understanding across cultures.
In short, throughout her career, Shari has made it her mission to ensure respect and understanding triumph over prejudice. Through the Redstone Family Foundation, Shari has pioneered programs that reach children, youth, and families—helping them learn the value of cross-cultural respect and civic participation. She brings communities together—especially the Black and Jewish communities—to honor shared histories and create new paths forward. Her foundation’s grant-making approach spans education, storytelling, and support for Israel and the Jewish community, always with the goal of creating opportunities for open conversation and lasting change.
Shari has been named Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People and one of Forbes and Fortune’s Most Powerful Women. She has also been recognized with Humanitarian Awards from the Simon Wiesenthal Center and the American Friends of the Rabin Medical Center, in recognition of her willingness to stand up for what’s right.
