Sean Mattocks has twenty years of law enforcement experience with the City of San Jose. Throughout his career e have worked a variety of assignments including Special Operations, Field Training Officer, School Liaison Officer, and Bureau of Investigations. He is currently assigned as the Sergeant of the Assaults Unit which is also the unit responsible for investigating hate crimes. He is also the Hate Crimes Program Manager for the San Jose Police Department.
It is a tragic reality that hateful ideology has found fertile ground online and offline, with consequences affecting not only Americans but people around the world. We cannot stand idle in the face of bias, bigotry, and extremism. Together, at the Eradicate Hate Summit and beyond, the collective will of individuals and organizations is needed to galvanize all people of good will to protect and defend our communities.
