Salam Al-Marayati is nationally recognized for his commitment to improving the public understanding of Islam and policies impacting American Muslims. Al-Marayati is president and co-founder MPAC, a Los Angeles-based Islamic advocacy group that works to promote and strengthen American pluralism by increasing understanding and improving policies that impact American Muslims.
Al-Marayati has testified before the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Homeland Security. He has also published articles in the Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, and Chicago Tribune, and he has made media appearances on many networks, including C-SPAN, CNN, and NBC.
Al-Marayati is an adjunct faculty member at Bayan Claremont and a board member of the Muslim Reform Institute. He also served on the federal task force on preventing targeted violence against houses of worship created by DHS in 2019.
