Rosa Salamanca is the Mountain Central Regional Director and Senior Conciliation Specialist for the Community Relations Service (CRS). The Mountain Central Region is comprised of Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, North & South Dakota, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Arizona. CRS provides conflict resolution services in addressing community disputes based on race, color, national origin and/or in assist communities impacted by hate crimes.
Ms. Salamanca served on the National Church Burning Response Team and has provided conflict resolution services during numerous national and state venues. She served as the Colorado statewide coordinator for the National Hate Crimes Training Initiative and provided support and technical assistance to the Utah Hate Crime Training Working Group. Rosa has aided tribal communities in addressing health access barriers, educational disputes, community conflicts, strengthening police community relations and preventing and responding in the aftermath of hate activity.

The catalytic power of this Summit in bringing together those who are devoting their lives to pushing back and working to confront, understand and work towards solutions around hate in our society is a noble and difficult task. The Summit not only energized those who attended but led to connecting the dots in a global network of those doing this work. The stories of the victims of hate were painful to witness but their courage in coming forward was inspirational. Those who attended left energized with the hope that by working together solutions can be forged.
