Ms. Bywater has over 20 years of experience in the public service field, with a longstanding commitment to safety, risk mitigation, and violence prevention. She currently serves as the Manager of Threat Assessment at the University of Minnesota, where she provides system-wide leadership and oversight for the University Threat Assessment Program (UTAP).
Ms. Bywater is actively engaged in national and regional efforts to advance threat management practices. She is a dedicated member of multiple committees and task forces focused on violence prevention, and she currently serves as the Central Pennsylvania Satellite Coordinator for the DC Chapter of the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP).
A frequent presenter and consultant, Ms. Bywater regularly teaches on topics including threat assessment and violence prevention across higher education, government, and professional sectors.

The Eradicating Hate Global Summit was both eye-opening and empowering. To have so many experts in the field of countering hate, all there sharing their expertise, working towards practical and real world solutions, was incredibly unique. It is this focus on meaningful conversations, answers, and solutions that makes Eradicating Hate so incredibly important. The spread of hate is a wicked problem, and the way Eradicating Hate approaches it is how we are going to solve it.
