Michael Colaresi is the William S. Dietrich II Professor of Political Science, Research and Academic Director of the Institute for Cyber Law, Policy, and Security, and the Director of the Pitt Disinformation Lab. He is a computational social scientist studying human rights, international conflict, civil war, mis/disinformation, and democratic institutions.
The Summit offers a unique opportunity to confront the corrosive influence of bigotry and hatred in our society. In order for us to address these challenges, we first must acknowledge their painful and destructive impact in our communities and in our country.
