Dr. Argentino received his PhD from the Individualized Program at Concordia University, using a mixed methods approach from Theological Studies, the Centre for Engineering in Society and the Institute of Information System Engineering. He is presently a Senior Research Advisor for Public Safety Canada’s , Canada Centre for Community Engagement and Prevention of Violence.

Dr. Argentino’s current research focuses on are hybridized threats; satanism, the occult and violent extremism; use of technology by violent extremist and terrorists; recruitment tactics and techniques; the use of AI by terrorist and violent extremists; malevolent creativity; and threats to democratic institutions.

The Summit was more than empty words – it made clear that a solution-driven approach is the only way to fight hate. That’s why the working group activities, which are results driven are going to be critical in defeating violent extremism. The Summit brought together the best minds in government, private sector, academia, and civil society. Being surrounded by these experts sparked new ideas – some of which I’ve already implemented or have written about.
