Louisa Klingvall has been a team leader in the Fundamental Rights Unit of the European Commission DG Justice since 2012. Her main focus of work comprises of dealing with fundamental rights aspects of the Commission’s digital policies files. In this capacity, she has been closely involved in the Commissions work on illegal content, disinformation, and more recently, artificial intelligence.
She is also charged with ensuring the overall coordination of the anti-racism team and of the work under the voluntary Code of Conduct on tackling illegal hate speech online with major IT Platforms.
At the Summit
To me, Eradicate Hate was the most important gathering of 2021 for those of us who work on issues related to domestic extremism and organized hate. The Summit uniquely combined a variety of perspectives, including experts, civil society representatives, politicians and policymakers, and the families and loved ones of victims. Eradicate Hate has the important mission of standing against the rising tide of hate and extremism in our society, and it’s an honor to be able to support this mission.
