Justyna Gudzowska has spent her career combating financial crime. She is currently a Senior Policy & Development Advisor at The Sentry, an investigative and policy organization that seeks to disable multinational predatory networks that benefit from violent conflict, repression, and kleptocracy, and an Associate Fellow at the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI), the UK’s leading defense and security think tank. From 2013-2018, Justyna worked for the United Nations as part of an expert team advising the Security Council on countering terrorist groups, in particular ISIS and Al-Qaida, and devised innovative means to combat terrorism financing. Before serving at the UN, she was a legal advisor to the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, where she advised on the full spectrum of economic sanctions issues. Earlier in her career, she worked as an associate at the international law firms Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton and at Debevoise & Plimpton.
Justyna received her JD from Yale Law School, where she served as Development Editor for the Yale Journal of International Law and was a student director of the Schell Center for International Human Rights. She holds master’s degrees from the University of Cambridge and the London School of Economics, where she was a Marshall Scholar, and a B.A. from Rice University.

My network of professionals working on countering hate in all its forms grew exponentially after attending Eradicate Hate in 2021. The myriad voices represented at Eradicate Hate, from big tech companies to academic researchers to those with lived experience, reinforced to me the importance of cross-cutting and collaborative approaches to counter hate and its devastating impacts on society. I’ve been fortunate to sustain and build those networks with many of those I met at Eradicate Hate in 2021.
