Joe Parsons defends clients against high-profile nationwide and statewide collective liability, class action, and unfair competition litigation. He has extensive experience in crafting, developing, and executing complex case strategy from discovery to dispositive motions to trial, including across jurisdictions and with joint defense groups.

Joe’s commitment to service extends to pro bono matters and the Pittsburgh community. As part of the Firm’s Border Project, he is representing a client with a claim for asylum. He serves as a coordinator for the Western District of Pennsylvania’s Pro Se Pro Bono Mediation Program and sits on the Allegheny County Bar Association’s Federal Courts Section Council. Joe is also co-president of Pittsburgh Irish & Classic Theatre, a member of the United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania Bridges Society Committee and the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Children’s Trust, and president of the American Constitution Society’s Pittsburgh Lawyer Chapter.

The effort to eradicate hate requires the active participation of every component of our society, to include governments, the private sector, communities of faith and indeed every aspect of civil society. There is no more urgent task in front of us. The organizers of the Eradicate Hate Global Summit are doing the United States and the world an enormous service by tackling hatred and extremism with a focus on honest dialogue and conversation, genuine learning and practical solutions. This will not happen overnight, but the Pittsburgh community’s leadership in this effort is genuinely inspiring and motivating.
