Jessica Cran
Producer
From investigative exposés to semi-scripted re-creations, I’ve worked on a range of content as development, field director/ producer, story and edit producer; managing every stage of production from pre-pro through post, and with credits from PBS, WGBH, HBO, DISCOVERY, HISTORY, NATGEO & the BBC, I can boast an eclectic resume and skill set. Known for my in-depth research and vivid writing, I have a keen instinct for story-development and detail. In the field, I’ve managed multi-camera shoots – often in challenging or hostile conditions – and am accustomed to trouble- shooting, working on the go, and coordinating talent, cast and crew. As a skilled booker and interviewer, one of my particular strengths lies in cultivating relationships, building rapport and trust, and successfully convincing the “shyest” characters, communities and departments to participate on-camera.

The effort to eradicate hate requires the active participation of every component of our society, to include governments, the private sector, communities of faith and indeed every aspect of civil society. There is no more urgent task in front of us. The organizers of the Eradicate Hate Global Summit are doing the United States and the world an enormous service by tackling hatred and extremism with a focus on honest dialogue and conversation, genuine learning and practical solutions. This will not happen overnight, but the Pittsburgh community’s leadership in this effort is genuinely inspiring and motivating.
