Jessica Burke is a consultant working on the intersection of human rights and rule of law issues at the UN Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT) as part of its Global Victims of Terrorism Support Programme. She spent six years working for human rights and international organizations in Jerusalem and Cairo and has a Masters Degree in international human rights law and security policy from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and a bachelor’s degree from Boston College in Middle Eastern and Islamic studies.
