A former Pentagon advisor, Jasmine has served for over 25 years in public and private-sector organizations covering issues related to national security and international affairs. She is a Middle East policy analyst and the founder and CEO of Mindwork Strategies, a policy and strategic communications advisory firm.
During her tenure at the Pentagon, Jasmine served three Secretaries of Defense, advising on Middle East issues in times of crisis, including post-war Iraq, the Arab Spring, the war against ISIS, and Syria, winning numerous awards for distinguished service based on her contributions to policy formulation and strategic communications.
An Egyptian-American raised on both sides of the Atlantic, Jasmine has dedicated her life to building bridges between different cultures and perspectives, utilizing the power of storytelling to combat dehumanisation and foster a shared understanding of our common humanity.
Her political commentary and analysis have been featured in CNN, Time Magazine, BBC, Sky News, Al Masry Al Youm, Le Figaro, The New Statesman and The Washington Post, among others.

The Summit was more than empty words – it made clear that a solution-driven approach is the only way to fight hate. That’s why the working group activities, which are results driven are going to be critical in defeating violent extremism. The Summit brought together the best minds in government, private sector, academia, and civil society. Being surrounded by these experts sparked new ideas – some of which I’ve already implemented or have written about.
