Fareed Zakaria hosts Fareed Zakaria GPS for CNN Worldwide and is a columnist for The Washington Post. Zakaria is also a contributing editor for The Atlantic and a best-selling author, whose books include The Future of Freedom, The Post-American World, and In Defense of a Liberal Education. Earlier in his career, he served as editor of Newsweek International, managing editor of Foreign Affairs, a columnist for Time, an analyst for ABC News, and the host of Foreign Exchange with Fareed Zakaria on PBS. He also regularly hosts primetime specials for CNN Worldwide. Two of the most recent specials dealt with the rise of hate and America’s gun culture.
The Eradicating Hate Global Summit was both eye-opening and empowering. To have so many experts in the field of countering hate, all there sharing their expertise, working towards practical and real world solutions, was incredibly unique. It is this focus on meaningful conversations, answers, and solutions that makes Eradicating Hate so incredibly important. The spread of hate is a wicked problem, and the way Eradicating Hate approaches it is how we are going to solve it.
