Filmmaker
2021
As a former journalist covering urgent stories in the southern hemisphere and as a filmmaker who seeks to capture a deeper truth through cinema, Eunice is drawn to stories that distill the complexity of the world into stories that touch the audience profoundly with humanity and veracity. Her documentary Accept the Call, that puts racism, injustice and bigotry under the spotlight, explores the impact of inherited trauma. It aired on PBS Independent Lens after screening at acclaimed film festivals such as Human Rights Watch and Woodstock. Her works have appeared on Discovery Channel and Al Jazeera English. Her work is supported by Tribeca Film Institute, ITVS, Chicken & Egg Pictures, North Point Institute and YouTube Impact Lab. More recently, she has been selected for Woodstock Film Festival’s inaugural Filmmakers Residency. Eunice has been featured in publications including The New York Times, Variety and Filmmaker Magazine. She received an MFA in Film Directing from New York University. She is currently working on “Triumph of Her Will”, a feature documentary about the journey of Tanya Gersh, a survivor of anti-Semitic “troll storm” led by white supremacists, and how she reaches into the past to understand her present trauma.

To me, Eradicate Hate was the most important gathering of 2021 for those of us who work on issues related to domestic extremism and organized hate. The Summit uniquely combined a variety of perspectives, including experts, civil society representatives, politicians and policymakers, and the families and loved ones of victims. Eradicate Hate has the important mission of standing against the rising tide of hate and extremism in our society, and it’s an honor to be able to support this mission.
