Ellen Gustafson is a Co-Founder and Co-Executive Director of We the Veterans – a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization created by veterans and military family members, united for democracy and committed to building a more perfect union. She is the Co-Founder of the Military Family Building Coalition, the first Military Support Organization to address family building challenges for active duty military families, as well as previously co-founding FEED, Food Tank and Co-Directing the Summit Institute. Ellen is the author of “We the Eaters: If We Change Dinner, We Can Change the World,” has been a Fortune Most Powerful Women Entrepreneur and given four TEDxTalks. Ellen is a proud Navy Spouse and Navy and Coast Guard Granddaughter.
At the Summit
To me, Eradicate Hate was the most important gathering of 2021 for those of us who work on issues related to domestic extremism and organized hate. The Summit uniquely combined a variety of perspectives, including experts, civil society representatives, politicians and policymakers, and the families and loved ones of victims. Eradicate Hate has the important mission of standing against the rising tide of hate and extremism in our society, and it’s an honor to be able to support this mission.
