Chavie Weisberger is a philosophy student at Bard College and a community engagement professional whose work centers on questions of identity, ethics, and the social conditions that give rise to hate and exclusion. Her academic interests include moral responsibility, existentialism, political philosophy, and the ways systems of power shape individual lives and communities.

Through her work with Footsteps, an organization supporting people leaving insular ultra-Orthodox Jewish communities, Chavie has worked closely with individuals navigating profound life transitions marked by rejection, stigma, and isolation. This experience has deepened her commitment to fostering belonging, dignity, and empathy while informing her interest in how prejudice and dehumanization become embedded within social and institutional structures.

As a leader within Jewish communal spaces, Chavie is committed to advancing thoughtful conversations about antisemitism, intercommunal solidarity, and the interconnected nature of all forms of hatred. She believes that promoting Jewish safety goes hand in hand with confronting racism, xenophobia, homophobia, and other forms of discrimination. Her work and studies reflect a broader commitment to human dignity, pluralism, and building more compassionate communities.
