2022
Celia Davies oversees Moonshot’s interventions and safeguarding programming, with specialisms in CVE and GBV interventions and conflict-affected regions. She has led the development of multi-platform online interventions programmes in South East Asia, the Western Balkans, and North America, pioneering new ways to reach at-risk individuals online and connect them with local services. This has involved building partnerships with local civil society and social enterprises, as well as government prevention bodies and law enforcement. In her capacity as Director of Ethics she leads Moonshot’s internal ethics review processes, overseeing the ethical processes that underpin our work. Celia brings broad experience of working with local groups in complex locations with security challenges, including close to a decade in Russia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, and Georgia, working on human rights, media development and counter-disinformation initiatives.

The Eradicating Hate Global Summit was both eye-opening and empowering. To have so many experts in the field of countering hate, all there sharing their expertise, working towards practical and real world solutions, was incredibly unique. It is this focus on meaningful conversations, answers, and solutions that makes Eradicating Hate so incredibly important. The spread of hate is a wicked problem, and the way Eradicating Hate approaches it is how we are going to solve it.
