Cassius Wilkinson is the Counter-Extremism Operations Lead at Discord, where he and his team work to detect and disrupt the spread of extremist content, and neutralize the exploitation of the platform by extremist actors. Prior to joining Discord, Wilkinson was a Strategic Risk Analyst at TikTok and drove efforts to identify and remove content from organized crime networks in Latin America. At TikTok, he also managed the global elections risk strategy, working to curtail political misinformation and electoral violence. Wilkinson began his career as a political risk consultant at EMPRA in Mexico City, where he advised multinational and diplomatic clients on security and political risks. In 2018, he helped launch Advanced Intelligence Solutions (AIS), a risk analysis firm dedicated to public security research in Latin America. A native of New York, Wilkinson has a bachelor’s degree in Politics and Latin American Studies from Occidental College in Los Angeles.

The Summit was more than empty words – it made clear that a solution-driven approach is the only way to fight hate. That’s why the working group activities, which are results driven are going to be critical in defeating violent extremism. The Summit brought together the best minds in government, private sector, academia, and civil society. Being surrounded by these experts sparked new ideas – some of which I’ve already implemented or have written about.
