As the Civil Rights Coordinator and a member of the Civil Rights Team in the Rhode Island Attorney General’s Office, Ariana is dedicated to understanding the root causes of hate crimes and developing strategies to increase hate crime reporting. Ariana started her career in the legal field more than fifteen years ago working with people with disabilities, and continued her career as the Director of Diversity, Equity and Training at the Rhode Island Community Food Bank. Ariana earned her B.A. in Sociology and Justice Studies from Rhode Island College.
It is a tragic reality that hateful ideology has found fertile ground online and offline, with consequences affecting not only Americans but people around the world. We cannot stand idle in the face of bias, bigotry, and extremism. Together, at the Eradicate Hate Summit and beyond, the collective will of individuals and organizations is needed to galvanize all people of good will to protect and defend our communities.
