Eradicate Hate:
2021

Alina Bricman is the Director of EU Affairs of the Jewish advocacy and service organization B’nai B’rith International. Since its founding in 1843, B’nai B’rith has been dedicated to tackling antisemitism, promoting intergroup understanding and improving quality of life world-wide through its humanitarian efforts.  Based in Brussels, Alina coordinates B’nai B’rith’s work with the European Union institutions as well as civil society and industry experts to tackle anti-Semitism, strengthen EU-Israel relations and promote Holocaust remembrance.

She formerly served as President of the European Union of Jewish Students (EUJS), an umbrella organization representing young Jews in 35 countries, between 2017 – 2019. Prior to that, she worked for the Representation of the European Commission in Romania and for the Median Research Centre, a Romanian civil society NGO focused on civil engagement and combating xenophobia. She studied Political Science in the National School of Political and Administrative Studies in Bucharest and at the Central European University in Budapest.

The Summit was more than empty words – it made clear that a solution-driven approach is the only way to fight hate. That’s why the working group activities, which are results driven are going to be critical in defeating violent extremism. The Summit brought together the best minds in government, private sector, academia, and civil society. Being surrounded by these experts sparked new ideas – some of which I’ve already implemented or have written about.
