The focus of this interactive working session is to guide practitioners, researchers, and policymakers through a structured approach to identify, contextualize, and prioritize the risks, dangers, and threats they face when doing work related to extremism, terrorism, armed conflict, crime, and/or other high-risk subjects. This session will provide practical strategies for digital hygiene, information security, travel-specific operational security, and physical safety. Attendees will learn not only what they can do in the immediate to reduce risk and harm, but also ‘over the horizon’ efforts to better improve safety, security, and privacy.
