LGBTQ+, Anti-Violence, and Reproductive Justice Advocate

Reed Bohn-Forge (he/they/Reed) is an LGBTQ+, anti-violence, and reproductive justice advocate with over 15 years of community experience and formal education in social work and public health. Presently, his paid work is as a program coordinator with Forge, an anti-violence agency improving the lives of trans survivors since 1994 through empowering providers and connecting survivors to healing possibilities. Prior work experience includes Project Empower manager at Virginia Commonwealth University/Health System’s Injury and Violence Prevention Program and the Crisis Response Team director/manager at the Virginia Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Action Alliance. He is an active volunteer with All Options and was a member of the Virginia Community HIV Planning Group from 2013 to 2020. They have attended and facilitated numerous education and outreach opportunities, trainings, and technical assistance, in addition to receiving certifications in a variety of modalities. To highlight the words of Lydia X. Z. Brown, “Often, their most important work has no title, job description, or funding, and probably never will.”
The Eradicate Hate Global Summit brings together scholars, practitioners, civil society organizations, and policymakers from around the world to share best practices and lessons learned, based on data and empirical evidence, in countering hate-fueled extremism and violent narratives.
