Marc Brown is the President and Founder of ABR Ventures, a growth and venture capital firm focused on early stage technology and consumer products ventures.
In addition to his work at ABR Brown leads the development of technology initiatives as part of The PEACE Initiative, an entrepreneur collective focused on supporting community-based organizations and projects that nurture and promote the inherent health, well-being, education and dignity of people across race, gender, color and faith.
Brown was most recently the Chief Information Officer of Polyconcept, the world’s largest supplier of corporate and promotional merchandise, operating on five continents and selling to over 100 countries around the globe. In this role, he was responsible for global Information Technology strategy and business transformation.
Prior to joining Polyconcept, Brown held a variety of senior technology leadership positions with global foods companies Del Monte Foods and The H.J. Heinz Company, where he was responsible for leading Business Operations Transformation and Information Technology strategic planning, implementation, and support.
Brown sat on the board of directors of the Pittsburgh Jewish Community Center for many years and served as Board Chair for a three-year term. Brown is currently serving as an Executive Committee Trustee on the board of the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh and sits on the board of the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh.
The Summit unites the public and private sectors, domestic and international, against hate and extremism. Researchers, activists, lawyers, technology experts, political leaders, and more come together, each bringing their unique tools to the fight. Important relationships that were established at the Summit in 2021 have carried forward into working groups with concrete deliverables for 2022 and beyond.
