Chris Jones is the Senior Researcher of Task Force Butler. After serving in the Marine Corps, Chris worked as a photojournalist for six years covering Afghanistan and the rise of extremism in the United States. In 2020 he became an investigative reporter at 100 Days in Appalachia covering domestic extremism, where his coverage of extremist activity and the Capitol attack on January 6th won a national Edward R Murrow Award. As Senior Researcher, Chris is responsible for training and leading Task Force Butler’s research and development teams.
