Ashleigh Bowers is the Program Manager for Preventing Targeted Violence at the McCain Institute at Arizona State University. The Preventing Targeted Violence team addresses targeted violence and terrorism by fostering innovative solutions, connecting practitioners, and facilitating knowledge sharing throughout the targeted violence and terrorism prevention field. The Preventing Targeted Violence team’s programming includes the Prevention Practitioners Network, Invent2Prevent, and SCREEN Hate. In her role as Program Manager, Ashleigh leads the team’s implementation of violence prevention programming, advances the strategic mission of the team, and manages the development of new initiatives.
The Eradicating Hate Global Summit was both eye-opening and empowering. To have so many experts in the field of countering hate, all there sharing their expertise, working towards practical and real world solutions, was incredibly unique. It is this focus on meaningful conversations, answers, and solutions that makes Eradicating Hate so incredibly important. The spread of hate is a wicked problem, and the way Eradicating Hate approaches it is how we are going to solve it.
