Samantha Kutner is the co-founder and Chief Intelligence Officer at Glitterpill LLC. She is also a fellow of the Khalifa Ihler Institute and the Accelerationist Research Consortium and a sector facilitator on positive interventions in gaming and gaming-adjacent spaces for GIFCT.

Kutner received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Master’s degree in Communication Studies from the University of Nevada, Reno. She specializes in studying violent extremism, crypto-fascism, and the gender dynamics of radicalization.

Her ethnographic research on the Proud Boys has been published in the International Centre for Counter-Terrorism Studies in The Hague and Georgetown Journal of International Affairs. Due to years of research and ethnographic study of the Proud Boys, she is regarded as the leading expert on the group.

In 2022, Kutner co-authored written expert testimony for The United States House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol, based on her continuous mapping of the group and her ethnographic research with key leaders.

Kutner has a strong background in leading OSINT teams to develop actionable insights for leading social media companies and trust and safety teams. She seeks to enhance collaboration across private, non-profit, and government sectors to prevent violent extremism through her work as the Co-founder and Chief Intelligence Officer of Glitterpill LLC.

The catalytic power of this Summit in bringing together those who are devoting their lives to pushing back and working to confront, understand and work towards solutions around hate in our society is a noble and difficult task. The Summit not only energized those who attended but led to connecting the dots in a global network of those doing this work. The stories of the victims of hate were painful to witness but their courage in coming forward was inspirational. Those who attended left energized with the hope that by working together solutions can be forged.
