Dr. Megan Squire is Deputy Director for Data Analytics and OSINT at the Southern Poverty Law Center. As a computer scientist, she applies data science techniques to track and expose networks of hate and extremism online. She is the author of two books on data cleaning and data mining, and over 40 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, including several Best Paper awards for her work tracking extremist online fundraising and cryptocurrency using open source intelligence (OSINT) techniques.
At the Summit
The Eradicating Hate Global Summit was both eye-opening and empowering. To have so many experts in the field of countering hate, all there sharing their expertise, working towards practical and real world solutions, was incredibly unique. It is this focus on meaningful conversations, answers, and solutions that makes Eradicating Hate so incredibly important. The spread of hate is a wicked problem, and the way Eradicating Hate approaches it is how we are going to solve it.
