Since the Hamas terror attack on October 7th and fueled by subsequent political and military actions in the Middle East, U.S. college campuses have seen a surge in disruptive protests and incidents of hate. Understanding the complex causes behind this rise in campus violence could fill an entire conference. This session will focus on one proven approach to preventing and reducing campus violence: student-led coexistence interventions. The panel will feature experts in campus conflict mediation and students who have implemented successful initiatives. Grounded in empirical research, participants will leave equipped with actionable strategies to foster student-led solutions to campus hate.
